A Visit To My Cousin's New Kitchen

My cousin has a new kitchen and it is to die for!  She combined the kitchen and dining areas to create one large room.  Her house is a small one story ranch, but you would never know it after the kitchen redesign.  Walter and I invited ourselves over for a preview before Thanksgiving, which she is hosting this year.  My cousin was still unpacking dishes and setting-up the kitchen, but graciously let us in.  She is so nice!

Here is Walter in front of the microwave

The microwave is a drawer built into the cabinets!  How fabulous is that!  I did not even know these existed.

The kitchen sink and stove which are just across from the microwave.

My very favorite thing in my cousin's new kitchen is the low divide, double bowl, porcelain sink!   It is made by Blanco.  A low divide, brilliant!

Even the sink strainer is gorgeous.

The stove and hood are simple and elegant.  Notice how the smaller tiles creating the backsplash are vertical and the larger tiles surrounding the kitchen are horizontal.  A very nice touch and eye-catching focal point.

To create storage without using floor space, a side board was built-in to the kitchen space

Until next time!

  1. Is this Franca's? Very cool. Like the tile. Hope that is a gas range top that I am seeing. Walter looks good in the new kitchen.
