Merry Christmas from the Jewel Box™ Home!

Wreath at the front door

I heard the bells on Christmas Day,
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet
The words repeat
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Christmas Bells in Flower-de-Luce, 1867

At last the decorating is done and its time to celebrate. I wish you all good things during this holiday season. And as always, may your home be filled with beauty and joy and may you always be surrounded by the company of family and friends.

Warmly,

Genevieve

  2. So tasteful! Other people decorate more like department stores with lots of bling and tacky items. I am more like you. Simple and elegant will be always be best. I really enjoy both your blog and your website.

What is the name of the paint color on all your walls? I need to repaint and want everything to work together. Your wall color looks perfect.

    Thanks,
    Mitzi

  3. Hi Mitzi -

Thanks so much for the compliments about my blog and website! As for the paint color, it is White Sand by Benjamin Moore. I have used it throughout the house and it works beautifully in every room.

    Happy New Year!

    Genevieve

  5. HI! Just found your blog and first want to say that my middle name is Genevieve! It was after my Aunt who helped raise me. I love your blog and the older I get the more I apprecate what I have too. 25 years ago we built our "drem house". Our children were teens and my daughter HATED the house, wanted to move back to the old house and rebelled terribly. I sometimes wish we had never built the darn house. We(just the 2 of us now) are still here. Hopefully we will be ablt to MOVE ON one of these days! I love your blog! Pinky
